About
CCA
The CCA is the principal private sector link between Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean. As a networking and information vehicle, the CCA's primary objective is to stimulate the expansion of Canadian commercial interests in the markets of the countries of the region.
Founded in 1987, represented by its headquarters in Toronto and chapters in Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, Calgary and Vancouver, the CCA grew to over 600 members from coast to coast. Our membership ranges from some of Canada's most well known and important companies to small, new and emerging companies that recognize the importance of trade outside Canada's boundaries.
The CCA has been playing a key role in strengthening commercial relations between Canada and the region through activities, alliances and other participation. In Canada, we work with sector specific associations such as the Alliance of Manufacturers & Exporters, the Canadian Importers Association, Toronto Board of Trade, Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Ontario Exports Inc., etc. In close collaboration with the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and also with Provincial Governments, we organize outreach business activities for Heads of State, Ministers and business leaders from throughout the hemisphere. The CCA has also been part of the organization of the two Team Canada trade missions to Latin America.
BNHI is a proactive network
of representatives from principal
private-sector business
organizations of the Western
Hemisphere. It is committed to the
successful negotiation of a
hemispheric free trade agreement.
The
CCA has a long-standing relationship
with Canada-Peru Business Council
(Lima), Council of the Americas
(US), Camara de Comercio Venezuela
Canada, The Mexican Foreign Trade
Council (COMCE), Canada-Colombia
Business Council (Bogota) and the
Business Network for Hemispheric
Integration (BNHI).
