A Discussion with Pelegrín Castillo, Minister of Energy and Mines of the Dominican Republic – Oct. 9

CCA hosted the Minister of Energy and Mines from the Dominican Republic on October 9, at Fasken Martineau offices.

Pelegrín Castillo was appointed Minister of Energy and Mines after a successful twenty year career in congress. During his tenure in the Chamber of Deputies he presided over several Committees including Industry and Commerce, Energy and Mines and Maritime Affairs. As Minister he has promoted both land and off-shore exploration policies for oil and gas.

In 2012 Minister Castillo published his latest books, “Haiti and National Interests” and “Tweeting my Vision”. Minister Castillo graduated at the top of his law class from the Universidad Pedro Henriquez Ureña and went on to graduate studies in international economics and trade at the University of Barcelona and the Santo Domingo Technological Institute.
