President's MessageThe Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (BCCC), which is headquartered
in Toronto, links players from private and government sectors who work
together to strengthen bilateral trade and investment between Canada
and Brazil. Our network of BCCC members and volunteers is confident about
the future prospects for the economic relationship between the two countries.
I believe there is cause for optimism; indeed, in my role as president
of BCCC, I have met with business leaders with incredible vision, passion
and desire to build closer commercial and economic ties between Canada
and Brazil. Sincerely, Mary Anderson About The Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (BCCC)The Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) is a business association whose primary objective is to foster stronger commercial relations between Canada and Brazil. Established in 1973, the Chamber plays a vital role in keeping Canadian companies and individuals informed of the latest political and economic developments in Brazil. The principal activities of the Chamber include the organization of conferences, seminars and luncheons which present individual speakers and groups to Canadian audiences in order to disseminate information on Brazil and provide networking opportunities. The Chamber also promotes and facilitates bilateral business opportunities between Canadian and Brazilian companies and individuals. The Chamber is based in Toronto and operates nationally with over 60 members from across the country. A wide variety of business sectors are represented and members include Canadian companies and individuals with interests in Canada and representatives of Canadian government agencies. The Chamber works closely with its sister organization, Câmara de Comércio Brasil-Canadá, based in São Paulo, and is also associated with The Canadian Council for the Americas (CCA). The Chamber and the CCA have shared certain administrative resources since 1995 and continue to collaborate on programs and activities of mutual interest to their respective memberships. In
January 2003, the Chamber established a strategic alliance with the
Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters Inc. in order to offer
a more integrated approach to business opportunities in the Americas. |
