CCA President Marina Jimenez joins PM Harper’s Trade Delegation to Mexico

IMG_1399Marina Jimenez, President of the CCA, joined Prime Minister Stephen Harper on his official state visit to Mexico Feb. 17-21, 2014. International Trade Minister Ed Fast, Natural Resources Minister Joe Oliver and Public Safety Minister Steven Blaney, as well as MP Bernard Trottier, Chair of the Canada-Mexico Parliamentary Friendship Group, accompanied the Prime Minister.

Ms. Jimenez was one of 22 in the trade delegation, whose members included Brian Porter, CEO of Scotiabank, Ian Telfer, Chairman of the Board for Goldcorp, Umberto Marseglia, a Vice President with Calfrac Well Services, John McCluskey, CEO of Alamos Gold, and Jayson Myers, CEO, of Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters.

Prime Minister Harper held a bilateral Feb. 18 with President Enrique Pena Nieto in Mexico City. The two countries signed a series of accords including an agreement to expand air travel, and to foster mutual economic growth. The following day, the Prime Minister travelled to Toluca for the North American Leaders Summit with President Pena Nieto and President Barack Obama.
